PV roof system and battery storage.
80% of our premises are powered by green electricity. Produced by our own PV systems.
AI-based monitoring of all energy flows.
Electricity, heating, cooling, heat, compressed air, hall ventilation, concrete core activation (e.g. heating or cooling) and climate ceilings are optimized with the help of artificial intelligence.
Optimizing energy and resource consumption.
We started recovering process heat over 30 years ago. Today, we are almost self-sufficient in the system network.

Our history.
From glass craftsmen to complete system provider.
1952
The new beginning. In the picture, 3 generations of Irlbacher, Josef Irlbacher senior and Josef Irlbacher junior.
1970
The first mass-produced product: glasses for safety screw caps, which were used in their millions until the 1970s.
1989
Expansion of production capacities with plant II in Schönsee. With Günther Irlbacher, the 4th generation joins the family business.
1994
Increase in demand from the lighting industry. Expansion and new construction for the use of new hardening systems. Stephan Irlbacher also joined the company in 1998.
2004
New construction of the administration building and founding of GSI Glastechnologie GmbH.
2008
Become a system supplier with IMPAtouch. With electronics on glass, Irlbacher is changing the world of HMIs.
2012
Modernization of module assembly. New building in Halle East with screen printing in the clean room and additional administration.
2018
Conversion of a tennis hall into Assembly II, Bonding Center Rundtakt.
2019
Construction of the energy center including gas pipeline, CHP units and thermal oil dryer belt.
2021
Start transformation concept with participation in the project “Paths to a climate-neutral company”.
2022
Installation of a photovoltaic system with a total output of 2,005.8 kWp.
2024
Start of AI-supported monitoring of all energy flows to efficiently manage the various potentials and requirements.
