ROBAX® fire screens from SCHOTT

The durable material, which consists of over 95% natural raw materials, is developed in Germany and is the premium product for the fireplace industry from Schott. With our mechanical processing and ceramic printing processes, we offer an almost unlimited range of designs for high-quality fire viewing windows.

Heat-reflecting coatings

For a higher combustion chamber temperature and to improve combustion, we offer fireplace windows with heat-reflecting coatings ROBAX® IR Max or ROBAX® IR SuperMax. With this coating, the emission levels of your fireplace can be reduced and at the same time the heat is released more slowly to the outside of the room.

Solid-colored glass ceramic for high-quality design solutions

Thanks to the ROBAX® Night Design portfolio from SCHOTT, the flames in your fireplace appear darker and quieter. Once the fire has gone out, the combustion chamber and ash are almost invisible. With the solid-colored glass-ceramic ROBAX® NightView for pellet stoves and ROBAX® NightFlame for wood stoves, we also offer the right solution for your fireplace.

Floor and spark protection panels

We use toughened safety glass made of IMPAdur for top and bottom panels as well as glass cladding. It is a thermally toughened soda-lime glass with special properties due to its thermal tempering. In addition to all glass thicknesses and different surfaces, we also offer a wide range of edge shapes in various finishes such as ground matt or polished.

New materials for heat-resistant surfaces

To decorate your fireplace, we offer a wide range of other heat-resistant materials with ceramic and natural stone. In our production, we can process these materials just as precisely and flexibly as glass. In addition, our ceramic printing processes, both screen printing and digital printing, offer almost unlimited possibilities for surface design.

Elegant glass touch control

For operating heating systems to control combustion or to display information about the combustion process, we develop elegant product solutions in a puristic design made of glass. These include glass touch screens which can be installed directly on the oven, but also stylish glass remote controls.

ROBAX® fire screens from SCHOTT® von SCHOTT

SCHOTT ROBAX® glass ceramic is extremely heat-resistant, robust and has extremely low thermal expansion. The panes can even withstand enormous temperatures of up to 760 °C as well as considerable temperature differences and shocks for a short time. It is precisely these properties, such as temperature resistance, transparency, heat transfer and high durability, that SCHOTT ROBAX® offers optimum protection against the dangers of fire, especially compared to conventional flat glass.® Glaskeramik ist extrem hitzebeständig, robust und verfügt über eine äußerst niedrige thermische Ausdehnung. Die Scheiben halten sogar kurzfristig enormen Temperaturen bis 760 °C sowie beträchtlichen Temperaturunterschieden und -schocks stand. Genau diese Eigenschaften wie Temperaturbeständigkeit, Transparenz, Wärmetransmission und hohe Lebensdauer sind es, mit denen SCHOTT ROBAX® – insbesondere gegenüber konventionellem Flachglas – optimalen Schutz vor den Gefahren des Feuers bietet.

Ideal curved glass for extravagant designs

There used to be a tiled stove that only warms up. Today, customers expect an unobstructed view of the fireplace from several sides. A campfire feeling — paired with clean combustion and the highest environmental standards.

Thanks to an innovative process, SCHOTT has succeeded in combining design and function. With the ideal bending edge (IBE), the bulges at the ends of a bend can be reduced by 50%. This improves the strength of the edge by up to 80% and at the same time makes it easier to seal the combustion chamber.

The fire viewing window with large bend radius (BBR) provides a real campfire feeling in the living room. Due to the 30 to 95 mm radius, the edge of the angled disc is visually virtually invisible.
